Within the iPECS OMS there is the functionality to create child resellers.
When a child reseller is created in the iPECS OMS, the matching Reseller account is created in the Billing System overnight by an API feed.
Once created, the Pragma billing team will manually create a dummy customer account in the billing system linked to the child reseller. The dummy customer will reference both the Parent Reseller name and the Child, and this will be set as the billing site.
Invoices will then be addressed to this dummy customer name and Pragma will be able to collect Direct Debit payments from the partner who signed a cloud contract with us.
The Child Reseller is given a Reseller ID in the OMS; this Reseller ID will be prefixed with an R and added to the billing system by API as the main Reseller billing ID.
Customers provisioned under the Child Reseller in the OMS will be created in the billing system by an API feed.
These will be billed to the correct Parent Reseller as the dummy customer account has been created and set as the billing site.
Lifetime licenses ordered by the Child Reseller will always be billed to the parent Reseller either as part of our monthly bill run or as a one-off invoice.
