Service charge billing for the ANYWHERE service starts when the user is provisioned on the Tango portal and goes live.

Tango issues an SDR file to Pragma around the 10th of each month. This means that we bill service charges in arrears. This SDR file from Tango shows all users who have been provisioned, and Pragma is billed pro rata from the go-live date and one month in advance.

E.g., if a user is provisioned on the 10th of March, Pragma will receive billing from Tango as follows:

  • 10/03/2023 - 31/03/2023
  • 01/04/2023 - 30/04/2023

Pragma then imports and processes these charges in our billing system. The Pragma billing system is set up to charge in advance as well, so when these charges are imported, the customer is billed for:

  • 10/03/2023 - 31/03/2023
  • 01/04/2023 - 30/04/2023
  • 01/05/2023 - 31/05/2023

The combination of billing in arrears because of the delay in the Tango SDR being made available and our billing in advance model means that billing will work as illustrated below:

If a user is Provisioned on 21/03/2023
  • The Tango SDR is made available to Pragma on 10/04/2023.
  • We process this during April and bill out charges from this SDR file on bill run 30/04/2023 for the following date ranges.
  • 21/03-2023 – 30/03/2023
  • 01/04/2023 – 31/04/2023
  • 01/05/2023 – 30/05/2023

The billing ID will be the mobile number linked to the user on the OMS.

The qty will always be 1 against each row to reference the correct mobile number.

If a package is upgraded mid-month, the new package billing will begin the following month. For example, if a package is upgraded on the 19th of October, we will bill the current package until the 31st of October and then the new package from the 1st of November.

ANYWHERE Usage Billing:

Tango issues a monthly CDR file on around the 10th of each month. This file shows all calls, SMS, and data usage.

Pragma imports this file and allocates any usage charges to the correct customer.

Charges are then passed on for data usage above the package that has been ordered. For example, if the user is on a 2GB package and uses 3GB of data, they will be charged for 1 GB.

Calls are charged as per the rate sheet if roaming outside of the roam-like at-home zones.

Ending a service:

It’s important to note that if a service ends mid-month, Tango will still charge Pragma for the full month, which will be passed on.
